NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess) — Following a shakeup of senior management at Warner Music Group, longtime Atlantic Records CEO Julie Greenwald revealed that she will be stepping back from her role at the label.

According to Hits Daily Double, Greenwald revealed the news during a meeting, telling the assembled employees that she would step down from her post on October 1st and remain a consultant for the label until the end of the year.

She was named President of Atlantic in 2003 and was elevated to chairman and COO in 2006 before being named Chair and CEO in 2022.

During her long tenure at Atlantic, Greenwald played an significant role in the label’s success, including the transition to digital formats and streaming, and helping to launch the careers of artists such as Bruno Mars and Ed Sheeran.

Greenwald was named Billboard Women in Music’s Woman of Year in 2010 and has been a fixture of the Billboard Power 100 for the last decade.

Following her departure from Atlantic, she plans to retire, Hits reported.
