The Veilguard release date leaks early – WGB

Dragon Age: The Veilguard’s release date has leaked earlier than expected, with the official reveal coming tonight.

A short ad for the game began appearing, revealing that the release date is October 31st. The ad looks like its a shortened version of the full-length trailer planned for tonight’s big reveal at 5pm UK time.

Next week will see a deeper dive into the combat, while on August 30th the developers will be holding a Q&A on Discord.

The Veilguard has had a slightly rough start as its first official trailer didn’t exactly match the tone people expected from a Dragon Age game, but since then it has generally looked pretty good. Early previews have been reasonably positive and the overall sentiment of fans has been cautiously optimistic.

Given BioWare’s track record over the years though, and EA’s numerous questionably choices, people are understandably wondering if this might be BioWare’s last chance, although there is an argument to be made that EA will keep the BioWare name around regardless of what happens simply because the name still has some small amount of cache attached to it.
