Semasa Chengdu Motor Show 2024 di China, BYD telah memperkenalkan MPV terbaru mereka yang dipanggil ringkas sebagai Xia. Saiznya agak besar dengan ukuran panjang 5.145 mm, lebar 1,970 mm, tinggi 1,805 mm dan jarak roda 3,045 mm.
Sebagai perbandingan, satu lagi MPV keluaran BYD, iaitu Denza D9, mencatat ukuran panjang 5,250 mm, lebar 1,950 mm, tinggi 1,920 mm dan jarak roda 3,110 mm. Semasa acara ini, Xia yang ada di situ dikunci dan bahagian dalamnya tidak dapat dilihat, tetapi menurut laporan Car News China, ia mempunyai tujuh tempat duduk dengan susunan 2-2-3.
Menggerakkan Xia adalah pakej plug-in hybrid (PHEV) DM-i generasi kelima syarikat itu, yang menggabungkan motor elektrik 260 PS sebagai pemacu utama, bateri Blade serta enjin 1.5L turbo sebagai range extender.
Dalam laporan Car News China lagi, BYD memberitahu bahawa MPV Xia ini boleh bergerak dengan kuasa elektrik penuh sehingga jarak 200 km dan membawa ciri seperti pakej ADAS DiPilot serta servis ketersambungan DiLink.
Memegang badannya ke atas jalan adalah suspensi adaptif, tetapi tidak menggunakan spring udara seperti Denza N7. Rim adalah bersaiz 18 inci, dan unit yang dipamerkan ini dilihat menggunakan tayar Michelin e-Primacy berukuran 235/60R18.
Di China, BYD Xia akan mula dijual tahun ini juga, dengan harga bermula 300,000 yuan (RM184,012).
