Concord will be supported by at least 3 seasons of content – WGB

Sony’s live-service shooter Concord is just a week away from launching on PC and PlayStation 5, so Sony has decided to let us know what to expect from it going forward.

Despite some extremely low player counts during the closed and open betas, Sony is committing to at least three seasons of content after the game launches next week.

When Concord comes out it’ll cost £35 and come with six modes, 12 maps and 16 characters. Then in October season 1 will kick-off, followed by season 2 in January 2025 and then season 3 in April.

Each season will introduce a new Freegunner, map, mode, variants, vignettes and more.

According to the blog post on PlayStation.com, season 1 will also introduce a cosmetic store.

“With season 1, we’ll also be introducing an in-game store for those looking to personalize their Freegunners further with additional customization items and to continue to support the game,” said Ryan Ellis, game director. “These will supplement the hundreds of rewards earnable through progression and will be solely cosmetic, optional, and have no gameplay impact.”

Concord is now available to preload. Digital Deluxe Edition owners will get to play on Tuesday, August 20, followed by a global launch on Friday, August 23.
