Exclusive: The Witcher’s Original Comics From The ’90s Will Finally Be Published In English

The Witcher series has seen many incarnations, including video games, books, and a TV series, but its comic books are arguably the most diverse from a creative standpoint. Many writers and artists have contributed to The Witcher’s comics universe, each offering their own spin on the monster-hunting adventures of Geralt of Rivia–but soon, English-speaking fans will finally get to experience the first-ever Witcher comics series thanks to the upcoming The Witcher: Classic Collection from Dark Horse.

Dark Horse sent GameSpot an early look at the collection’s cover art, which we can exclusively reveal below.

The Witcher: Classic Collection collects the original comic series published in Poland between 1993 and 1995, and translates them into English for the first time. The series, written by Maciej Parowski and drawn by Bogusław Polch, adapted The Witcher creator Andrzej Sapkowski’s first book of short stories featuring Geralt of Rivia.

Dark Horse’s new 296-page paperback collection includes all six issues from the series–titled “The Road of No Return,” “The Betrayal,” “Geralt,” “The Lesser Evil,” and “The Last Wish”–with their original full-color artwork and an all-new English translation.

The Witcher: Classic Collection is set to release on March 18, 2025 for $30. Preorders will be available soon at Amazon and Barnes and Noble. We will update this article once preorders are live.
