Kementerian Kewangan (MOF) mengumumkan bahawa untuk tempoh 19 hingga 25 September 2024, harga runcit bagi diesel di Semenanjung diturunkan lagi sebanyak 6 sen seliter, menjadi RM2.95 seliter. Walau bagaimana pun harga diesel untuk Sabah dan Sarawak masih dikekalkan pada RM2.15 seliter.
Manakala untuk tempoh yang sama, petrol RON 97 juga diturunkan 6 sen seliter, kini menjadi RM3.19 seliter. Namun demikian, harga runcit bagi RON 95 yang telah mencapai harga siling masih dikekalkan pada paras RM2.05 seliter.
“Sejak 8 Ogos 2024 sehingga kini, Kerajaan telah menurunkan harga runcit diesel di Semenanjung Malaysia sebanyak 40 sen, dan harga runcit RON97 sebanyak 28 sen. Kerajaan akan terus memantau perkembangan pasaran dan menyesuaikan harga runcit bahan api berdasarkan turun naik pasaran minyak global, sambil menyokong kestabilan harga bagi menjamin kesejahteraan dan kesejahteraan rakyat yang berterusan,” kata MOF menerusi kenyataan yang dikeluarkan.
