Jalan Sultan Ismail bakal kembali jadi jalan sehala mulai 22 Julai untuk aliran trafik lebih stabil – DBKL

Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur (DBKL) memaklumkan bahawa berkuatkuasa 22 Julai 2024, Jalan Sultan Ismail dari persimpangan Jalan Raja Chulan ke persimpangan Jalan Bukit Bintang akan kembali menjadi jalan sehala.

Menurut DBKL, perubahan lalu lintas itu dibuat selepas mengambil kira kajian dan aduan semasa pelaksanaan uji percubaan bermula pada 1 Mei lalu sehingga kini yang melibatkan Jalan Sultan Ismail.

“Jawatankuasa Kabinet Mengenai Keselamatan dan Kesesakan Jalan Raya (JKMKKJR) sentiasa komited dalam menangani isu kesesakan jalan raya terutamanya di Kuala Lumpur. Dengan mengembalikan Jalan Sultan Ismail kepada aliran asal (sehala), adalah diharap aliran lalu lintas akan kembali stabil khususnya di kawasan sekitar,” kata DBKL seperti dilaporkan Harian Metro.

Pada Mei lalu, DBKL melaksanakan penukaran laluan daripada sehala kepada dua hala di persimpangan Jalan Sultan Ismail-Jalan Raja Chulan hingga persimpangan Jalan Sultan Ismail-Jalan Bukit Bintang. Nampak gayanya perubahan laluan tersebut mungkin kurang berkesan bagi menangani isu kesesakan di jalan berkenaan.
