LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) — Grammy-winning recording artist Lizzo says she’s taking a hiatus to focus on herself.

The 36-year-old “Good as Hell” singer broke the news to fans in an Instagram post that showed her in a swimsuit enjoying some summer rain on a veranda along with the caption “I’m taking a gap year & protecting my peace🙏🏾”

Fans may not be all that surprised as Lizzo hasn’t released any music since dropping her forth album in 2022 apart from “Pink” which she recorded for the Barbie movie in 2023.

News of Lizzo’s break also follows a legal battle with several of her former dancers who alleged that Lizzo created an “absusive” work environment.

Lizzo denied the dancer’s allegations and subsequently reached settlements with at least 14 performers.
