Marvel Studios Has Two Comic-Con Panels This Year, Including One For Deadpool And Wolverine

For most of the last 16 years, Marvel Studios has held massive panels at San Diego Comic-Con’s Hall H. The studio skipped Comic-Con in 2023 because of the Hollywood strikes, but Marvel is back in force this year with two Hall H panels for the first time. And the initial Marvel Studios Hall H presentation of 2024 is dedicated to Deadpool and Wolverine, with Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, and director Shawn Levy in attendance, along with Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige.

Via Deadline, Marvel Studios’ Kevin Feige revealed the previously unannounced Deadpool and Wolverine panel will take place on Thursday, July 25, the first day of Comic-Con. That’s also the day that preview screenings for the film will take place before Deadpool and Wolverine has its official opening on July 26.

Marvel Studios’ traditional Saturday evening panel on July 27 will be saved for the look at several upcoming films. Among the movies we’re expecting to hear updates about are The Fantastic Four, Captain America: Brave New World, and Thunderbolts. Presumably new projects will also be revealed there. According to Feige, the studio has once again planned its slate around what it can announce and show off on Comic-Con’s biggest stage.

“We build movie schedules often times, and obviously with the pandemic and the strike that threw a wrench into it for a few years, but we’re able this time to get back to literally designing our film schedules around what we would have ready to show at Comic-Con, to announce and set the expectations and the tonality of what’s to come over the next couple of years,” said Feige. “And that starts in Hall H. I think Hall H has become such an iconic venue that people who’ve never been to Comic-Con know what Hall H is, or know that Hall H stands for the unveiling of important, fun pop culture moments.”

San Diego Comic-Con 2024 will run from July 25-28.
