AUSTIN, TX (CelebrityAccess) — Country star Miranda Lambert provided fans with a sneak peak at her forthcoming album with a surprise show at the legendary Stubb’s BBQ in Austin on Friday.
Advertised only with the marquee outside of the venue, which surprised fans with the message MIRANDA LAMBERT TONIGHT AT 6PM, the concert venue was fully sold-out by noon, according to her publicist.
Lambert’s concert came almost twenty years to the day when she first graced the venue’s stage during her first label showcase on August 28, 2024.
“I have a brand new album, and I have the same fire that I had 20 years ago at that show,” reflected the the woman celebrated by Esquire as “consistent, but never predictable” and Rolling Stone as “country’s most ambitious artist” from the stage, adding of the setting, “I love a honky tonk. It’s how I grew up. It’s in my DNA.”
The album is due on retail and on streaming on Sept. 13 via Republic Records and serves as a tribute to Lambert’s home state of Texas.
