Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia (MMM) hari ini mengumumkan bahawa MPV segmen-B tujuh-tempat duduk, Mitsubishi Xpander yang telah mula dipasang dan dijual pada pasaran tempatan sejak hampir empat tahun lalu kini sudahpun mencapai angka 40,000 unit. Bagi meraikan detik bersejarah ini, pemilik Xpander bertuah tersebut iaitu Puan Zaty Ewany dipilih sebagai pemenang peraduan “Mencari Pemilik Xpander ke-40,000” yang telah pun berlangsung bermula bulan lalu.
Puan Zaty yang merupakan seorang guru dan Ibu kepada lima anak dari Selising, Pasir Putih Kelantan itu menerima hadiah berupa baucar percutian RM10,000, dan ia disampaikan sendiri oleh CEO MMM, Shinya Ikeda dalam satu majlis yang dilangsungkan di pengedar bertauliah MMM, RIF Auto Sdn Bhd.
“Apabila kami melancarkan Xpander pada akhir 2020, visi kami adalah untuk mencipta kenderaan yang bukan sahaja memenuhi pelbagai keperluan pelanggan kami tetapi juga memperkayakan gaya hidup pemiliknya. Saya ingin mengambil kesempatan ini untuk merakamkan ucapan terima kasih yang tulus kepada pelanggan setia kami, rakan kongsi perniagaan MMM, dan rakan media yang kepercayaan dan sokongan mereka menjadi asas kejayaan kami,” kata Ikeda.
Mitsubishi Xpander terus dihasilkan dalam versi pemasangan tempatan (CKD) ketika dilancarkan di Malaysia menerusi kilang Hicom Automotive Manufacturers Sdn Bhd di Pekan Pahang. Unit pertama yang disiapkan menerusi kilang tersebut keluar pada Oktober 2020, dan penghantaran kepada pelanggan bermula sebulan selepas itu.
