Like other projects of its kind, Untold: The Murder of Air McNair starts its story at the end, when Steve “Air” McNair was found dead in an apartment with his girlfriend, Sahel Kazemi. The year was 2009 and after an incredibly fruitful career playing professional football for the Tennessee Titans (formerly the Houston Oilers) and the Baltimore Ravens, McNair had been enjoying his retirement.
From the jump, some shady occurrences happened in the immediate hours following McNair and Kazemi’s deaths, particularly that Wayne Neely, who found the bodies didn’t immediately call 911 but instead phoned McNair’s longtime friend and ex-teammate, Robert Gaddy.
