CHICAGO (CelebrityAccess) — Creative agency Park Avenue Artists is partnering with publisher Primary Wave Music to create and tour new music properties featuring the music and voices of noted legacy artists.

The first such collaboration from the partnership is “The Voice of Whitney: A Symphonic Celebration,” that will feature master recordings of the singer’s fan favorites set to the backdrop of orchestral accompaniement, provided by the Chicago Philharmonic.

The show will make its premiere at the Ravinia Festival near Chicago before embarking on a what organizers describe as a national tour.

Park Avenue is a veteran of symphonic tours and the company has staged events ranging from a sold-out concert at the Dolby Theater for Grammy-winning electronic musician ZEDD, to the acclaimed PBS special Seasons of Cuba with Joshua Bell.

For The Voice of Whitney Houston, PAA worked with Houston’s Estate and Primary Wave Music to find rare footage and license recordings for inclusion in the project.

Houston’s vocal elements will be isolated from the instrumentation rare footage and license recordings to highlight the late music legend’s raw talent over a symphonic score.

“We are constantly seeking new ways to bring culturally impactful, artful performances to more audiences,” says David Lai, PAA co-president.

“This project highlights how legacy artists and their estates can continue to create meaningful experiences for music lovers, and ‘The Voice of Whitney’ is the first in several planned collaborations,” added PAA co-president, Ross Michaels “We know it will be successful thanks to this partnership with Primary Wave.”
