‘Stardew Valley’ Creator Promises To Keep Updates and DLC Free Always – TouchArcade

Earlier today, Stardew Valley ($4.99) creator Eric Barone Tweeted about how he’s working on the mobile and console versions of Stardew Valley 1.6 and how he will announce when there is any meaningful news for the update. If you haven’t kept up with that, read about Stardew Valley 1.6 here. Following that Tweet, he also posted about how he will never charge for updates and DLC for Stardew Valley. He also asked to screencap that post (linked below) if he ever breaks the vow. Stardew Valley is one of the best supported games ever with tons of free updates that go well above the usual post-launch support you’d expect, let alone delivering it for free.

If you’ve not played Stardew Valley yet on mobile, read our original review for the iOS version, our Game of the Week feature, and also my comparison for the mobile and Switch versions here. You can buy Stardew Valley on the App Store for iOS here and for Android here on Google Play. It is also available on Apple Arcade. Here’s our forum thread on the game for more discussion. Have you tried Stardew Valley 1.6 on PC yet or are you waiting for the patch to hit mobile and consoles?
