Talking Super Mario Doll With 30-Plus Sound Effects Is Over 50% Off At Amazon

Mario has had a lot to say over the years, but this interactive doll of Nintendo’s favorite plumber is ready to talk up a storm. Available at Amazon and discounted by over 50% to $24, this Mario collectible figure from Jakks Pacific features over 30 sound effects and phrases from various Super Mario games. Pose him right, and you can even unlock five songs that’ll play from this Mario doppelgänger’s plastic head.

So what kind of iconic lines can you expect? According to Jakks Pacific, Mario will shout out his trademark “Woo-Hoo” and introductions, and you can activate these sounds through trigger points on his hands, feet, and hat. There’s a limited amount of articulation here, but at least Mario is sporting his signature overalls, just in case he needs to go unblock a warp pipe. If you quickly lift him up, you’ll even activate his jumping sound effect.

There are some other neat interactive Mario toys available right now as well. You can pair Mario up with his nemesis Bowser, as this figure based on the big bad Koopa King is on sale for $19 (normally $30). Based on his big screen appearance, Bowser has a “fire breathing” effect that’s activated by adding water to the reservoir on the back of his hair.

You can also save 50% on a Mario RC kart based on his appearance in The Super Mario Bros. Movie (4K Blu-ray is $20 at Amazon). So Mario doesn’t get lonely racing around the neighborhood, you can pair him with Carrera’s Luigi RC kart, which is on sale for $30.

How about flying around the neighborhood instead? The Mario Kart Mini Mario-Copter has a typical drone-like design with its fans, six-axis gyro system, and lightweight frame. What sets it apart from the flock is that it has Mario perched right on top and ready to steer it. The Mario-Copter seems to have been discontinued for a few years, but Carrera apparently brought it back, as Amazon just started carrying it in June. It’s not on sale, but Mario would definitely say the return of his drone kart is cause for an enthusiastic woo-hoo.
