Arcane is easily one of the best-looking animated series of all times, and if you’re curious to see how it came to life, there’s a new art book coming out soon with all the details. The Art and Making of Arcane is available to preorder now at Amazon ahead, and the price has already been discounted by 10% as you can pick this up for $54. A release date for the art book hasn’t been set, but Arcane Season 1 arrives on Blu-ray on October 8.
$54 (was $60)
A tour behind the scenes of Fortiche’s revolutionary animated series, this 224-page book shows off several of the early art styles that were tested out, how character designs evolved over time, and the work that went into building the cities of Piltover and Zaun.
There are also interviews with over 20 key animators, writers, directors, artists, game designers, musicians, and other creators involved in the production of Arcane, and all editions of the book will include a Jinx poster, a removable map of Piltover, an in-world blueprint, a Vander Letter, foldout spreads showcasing content from seasons one and two, and more.
For a final extra touch, you can protect the book from the elements with an exclusive jacket cover for this first edition.
The second and final season will debut on Netflix in November, and if you’re looking to revisit the first season, you can watch it in 4K with the upcoming Blu-ray release. These have been discounted by over 20% already, and they come with artistic steelbook covers.
The 4K and 1080p versions have unique steelbook covers of Jinx and Vi, respectively, and if you feel like going all out you can check out the Arcane Collector’s Edition that’s available from GKids Films. This has been discounted from $200 to $150, and it’s packed with original artwork, a diecast D20 dice, resin dice, a velvet dice pouch, double-sided poster, six art cards, and a fabric map.
