Normally $135, you can get the Blu-ray collection of all four Superman movies in 4K for just $65. The film series kicked off in 1978, and with these Blu-rays, you can watch Superman foil Lex Luthor’s real-estate schemes, face off against his fellow Kryptonians, and find out just how much of a mean drunk the last son of Krypton really was.
Interestingly, this collection also includes the Richard Donner Cut of Superman 2, which most fans consider to be the superior version of the sequel. It’s a long story regarding why there are two cuts of the Superman sequel–creative conflicts and budget concerns behind the scenes being some of the culprits here–but Donner’s version adds more substance to the story overall. While the rest of the film series hasn’t aged quite as well, these are still classic Superman movies and Reeve was effortlessly charming in all of them.
If truth, justice, and a better tomorrow is a little too optimistic for your superhero tastes, you can also check out some of the Batman Blu-rays on sale. The Dark Knight Trilogy directed by Christopher Nolan has been discounted from $71 to just $30, and that’s a terrific price for Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, and The Dark Knight Rises. These are all 4K cuts of the films as well, so you can watch Christian Bale do elbow-based martial arts in ultra-high-definition, and the special features on each disc provide a fascinating glimpse into the psychology of the Caped Crusader.
2022’s The Batman starring Robert Pattinson is also on sale, with the 4K Blu-ray discounted from $34 to $14. Directed by Matt Reeves, this is easily the most grounded Batman film to date, reimagining the Gotham vigilante as he runs through a gauntlet of civic corruption and mob warfare while he chases after the Riddler. Lastly, you can also pick up Joker before its sequel arrives, as it’s on sale for $12. Starring Joaquin Phoenix, the film charts the journey of Arthur Fleck as he transforms from a failed comedian to a dangerous criminal.
