Wasserman Names Steve Murray As Executive Vice President of Mergers & Acquisitions and Strategy







LONDON (CelebrityAccess) — Sports, music, and entertainment agency Wasserman announced the hire of finance veteran Steve Murray for the role of Executive Vice President of Mergers & Acquisitions and Strategy, suggesting the company is gearing up for a major acquisition.

Murray joins Wasserman from the private equity investor Providence Equity Partners, where he served as a principle on the investment team. He brings singificant experience in sports, music, and entertainment industries to his new role at Wasserman.

Providence has a stake in multiple entertainment companies, including Wasserman, Superstruct, Clarion Events, Ambassador Theater Group, and Tempo Music, among others.

“Steve’s nearly fifteen years of experience sourcing, structuring and executing highly complex and transformative transactions, paired with his deep knowledge of the sports, music and entertainment industries globally, are a perfect match for our business as we look to accelerate our pace of acquisition in this next leg of our growth,” said Rochelli. “Steve will play a leading role in Wasserman’s growth strategy moving forward, and we expect his firsthand experience working closely with our company over these past couple years to allow for a uniquely smooth transition.”
