A2IM Partners With GoGoods To Increase Revenue For Independent Artists

NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess) – A2IM (The American Association of Independent Music, Inc.) has announced a partnership with newly launched GoGoods, offering A2IM members an 80% revenue share on sales of GoGoods Cloud Collectible (GCC) albums and EPs.

“GoGoods Cloud Collectible is a groundbreaking innovation that aligns perfectly with our mission to empower independent artists and labels. By providing a higher revenue share and ensuring artists are compensated on every transfer of ownership, GoGoods is not just offering a new digital format; they are redefining the economics of music ownership. This partnership represents a significant step forward in creating a more sustainable and fair future for the independent music community,” Dr. Richard James Burgess MBE, President and CEO of A2IM.

In the digital consumption and collection age, A2IM continues to work with independent rights holders to find new ways to engage fans and create new sources of revenue. GoGoods Cloud Collectible platform provides the first new music format with full personal use rights since the CD, allowing fans to own their digital music for the first time. They can buy, play, collect, resell, gift, or even will their music with GoGoods GCC. GoGoods ensures that ownership is secure, transparent, and rewarding for all rights holders. Every release is a limited edition for the buyer, each individually numbered, with their own GoodDeed (a deed of their good) online and a printable PDF suitable for framing. Buyers have the freedom to resell, gift, or even will at any time, and rights holders will be paid on every transfer of ownership.

GoGoods provides a tangible product for superfans to possess. In July 2023, Goldman Sachs projected the addressable market opportunity for superfan monetization at $4.2 billion, and in 2024, they upped that estimate to $4.5 billion. This partnership will allow these superfans to support their favorite artists innovatively and engagingly.

“We couldn’t be more thrilled to partner with an organization of the caliber of A2IM. Their commitment to growth, awareness and opportunities of independent music, and the entire community — especially under the leadership of Dr. Burgess for the past decade — has been nothing less than stellar,” said Bill Denk, CEO and Founder of GoGoods. “We are so excited that Artists can add music as a product, vs. only as a service, back into their lineup, boosting their total income. We have already seen the excitement from artists who have grown tired of pleasing an algorithm for the past decade. With GoGoods, Artists have the freedom to create what’s in their heart, and the end, we all win from the product of their inspiration.”

Key Features:
• A Secure Closed System: Your music lives in the GoGoods Cloud, accessed seamlessly through the free GoodTunes Player—available on the web, Apple App Store, and Google Play.
• Effortless Ownership Transfers: When you sell your GoGoods GCC, ownership and access to assets automagically transfer from you to the new owner. No messy downloads, no uploads, no hassle. It just works.
• Endless Revenue for Artists: GoGoods is the first digital music format to offer Full Personal Use Rights and is the only format where rights holders get paid on every transfer of ownership. Forever.
