Agent Don Buchwald Dead At 88







BOSTON, MA  (CelebrityAccess) — Don Buchwald, the veteran agent who co-founded the talent representation firm Buchwald, and repped stars such as Howard Stern, has died. He was 88.

News of his passing was reported by TMZ, which stated that he died on Monday at his home in Massachusetts of natural causes. His death was confirmed by his agency, who shared a post on social media announcing the news.

A graduate of Brooklyn College, Buchwald worked in a variety of roles, including actor and theater manager before partnering with Monty Silver at the Monty Silver Agency.

In 1977, he launched Don Buchwald & Associates, Inc. and led the agency as it developed into a Hollywood powerhouse with offices on both coasts and representing talent across film, television, theater and literary endeavors.

The agency’s roster included the high-profile DJ Howard Stern and his on-air partner Robin Givens, along with actors such as Jason Priestley, Natasha Henstridge, Juliette Lewis, and George Takei, among others.

Buchwald was a member of the Friars Club, serving on the organization’s Board of Directors as well as a Trustee of the foundation at Brooklyn College

He is the first recipient of the Brooklyn College Theater Alumnus Award, the Alfred Drake Award, Distinguished Alumnus Award, among other honors.
