If you act fast, you can get an exclusive Disney Lorcana trading card at Amazon. Ravensburger, the manufacturer of the Disney trading card game, is releasing a special-edition version of its popular Disney Villainous board game that comes with a Lorcana promo card for a limited time. You can purchase the new Disney Villainous bundle at Amazon for $30. Only the initial run of the fresh Disney Villainous printing comes with the Lorcana card, and Amazon has already sold out once–we’d expect the retailer to sell out soon again.
Best Buy is taking preorders for the refreshed edition of Disney Villainous ahead of the August 23 release date listed by the retailer, but the product image and description doesn’t show or mention the Lorcana card. Amazon, meanwhile, says orders placed now will arrive this week. If Amazon does sell out before August 23, it might be worth securing a preorder at Best Buy. If it arrives without the promo card, you could always return it. Or you could cancel your order if Amazon or another retailer restocks an edition that is clearly marked to contain the Lorcana card.
This edition of Villainous is the Introduction to Evil iteration that first released last year to make the game more approachable to newcomers and address feedback from current players. The promotional Lorcana card you’ll receive is Robin Hood’s Prince John. This card initially appeared as a promotional item during the Disney100 celebrations in 2023, and it has never been available to the wider public until now.
This limited-time Disney Villainous bundle is launching alongside Lorcana’s Shimmering Skies expansion, which adds 204 new cards to Ravensburger’s popular trading card game. August 23 and adds 204 new cards to the trading card game. According to the Amazon listing, this Disney Villainous and Lorcana card bundle will ship within the next two months.
Also releasing on August 23 is Disney Lorcana: Gateway, which is designed as an introduction to the competitive trading card game. Available to preorder at Amazon and Best Buy, Lorcana: Gateway comes with a game board, a pair of “small” decks, movers, special card packs, and instructions.
