As you would expect from one of the largest anime conventions in the United States, Anime Expo 2024 has a major cosplay presence. People from all walks of life come to be among the first to see the latest announcements for their favorite shows or even demo games that have yet to come out. But, as with other conventions such as BlizzCon or San Diego Comic-Con, cosplayers come together to show off their latest cosplay creations. These cosplayers spend various amounts of time creating their costumes and deserve to be noticed.
Just like last year’s Anime Expo, this year had cosplayers roaming the halls of the LA Convention Center. Even though the event is mainly centered around anime, it didn’t stop people from dressing up as other characters from other media. Throughout the convention, we saw various characters such as Doom Slayer from the Doom series and even some Helldivers from Helldivers 2. On the anime side, plenty of people dress up as characters from popular shows like Gundam, Dragon Ball Z, and My Hero Academia.
We’ve compiled some of the best cosplay we saw at the show below, complete with links to the creators who had one to share.Did you attend the convention? If so, let us know which cosplays stood out to you in the comments below!
