Ys X: Nordics Releases October 25, Preorders Come With Multiple Collectibles

Ys X: Nordics launched in Japan last year, and it’s finally slated for a stateside launch on October 25. The game features a reimagined combat system with naval exploration to provide a change of pace for the long-running series. It earned solid reviews in Japan, and fans of the series should find much to love about this latest installment. Preorders for Ys X: Nordics are live now, and you can grab the Deluxe Edition for only $60 or the NIS Online Store-exclusive Limited Edition for $105. Nordics isn’t the only game Ys fans have to look forward to. A remastered edition of Ys: The Oath in Felghana (Ys III) will release on modern platforms in early 2025, and preorders are live now for the limited-edition physical release.

Ys X: Nordics will be available on PS5, PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC. The Ys series has never been afraid of reinvention, and Nordics is no different in this regard. Ys X will introduce the Cross Action combat system, which allows you to fight using two different styles with the game’s pair of playable characters, Adol and Karja. As a result of this new system, you won’t find the party-based mechanics in Ys X. Story-wise, Ys X is set shortly after the events of Ys II, which makes it a fitting game to play before The Oath in Felghana remaster.
